BPAG is particularly concerned about:
- The decision not to request Southern Water to provide mains drainage owing to cost and timescale. Instead there will be an onsite sewage treatment works. This will eventually have to serve the whole development of 600 plus units.
The works is to be sited at the top of the site by Winchester Road and immediately opposite the new housing on the east of the road. Treated water will be discharged into Ford Lake and hence to the Hamble, where flooding is already a problem.
- The siting of three storey buildings on the highest point of the site, inside the Winchester Road entrance.
- Access to the Hedge End Station car parking (old and new) from inside the site or from Shamblehurst Lane.
